"NEVER WAS SO MUCH OWED BY SO MANY TO SO FEW”

The saying "Never was so much owned by many to so few" said my Sir Winston Churchill to the British Air force before they went to war. this saying was the saying that lift up the sprite of the Air force due it was a really tough time for Britain cause France has just been taken by Germany and that it was the British fighting the Germany alone.

  1. the full quote was "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few" which I think means that the British empire depends on the lives of the pilots who was fighting in the Battle of Britain

  3. This quote was a part of a speech given on August 20, 1940 by the Prime Minster of UK, WInston Churchill, the speech was given when Britain was preparing war with German as an inspiration, Churchill wanted to say that even though we have lost most of our previous battles, things are still going great for us.

He was right, things began to turn around for the Allies.

  4. I think that this quote by Winston Churchill was saying the there never have been so much responsibility owed against so many by so few, depicting the RAFs as heroes to Britain's citizens, because they are only a little of them and their mission is to defend the nation form a army of enemies, therefore also promoting the idea of "numbers can make a deference" and have more volunteers to join the air force.
